So, here is my second banner for muse's blog ....

Self Sufficiency

The title of this post sounds ambitious, although I am not taking on the ethos in its entirety, I am planning to grow some of my own vegetables.  I have, for quite awhile grown, herbs, salad leaves and tomatoes, and a year or so ago, grew some peas; which did fantastically well.  The weather has not been favourable, but on the fine days (which have been few) muse has dug for me, a small patch of ground ... here it is complete with puddles of rain.

I have been growing peas and beans in pots indoors in our 'back kitchen' and they are ready to go into the ground - just waiting for a fine day!

 

The Challenge

So, muse from over at 'bike wales' decided his blog needed a bit of an overhaul, a redesign. He challenged me to design a couple of banners - a header and footer for his 'new look' blog.

Now, I am no Graphic Designer, nor experienced - but I enjoy a dabble with PS.  I tried to encapsulate in these images, something of the enthusiasm and pure joy with which muse describes each of his rides to me; as well as his love for Wales (hills, rain and all!). What do you think?

Adventures With The Dude

Who is the 'Dude'? You ask.  I shall tell, the Dude is my Kitchen Aid.  He was a much wanted addition to my kitchen gadgetry; I had coveted one for a long, long time and what should Father Christmas deliver me this year .... you guessed I am sure!  The Dude, let me introduce him in all his boysenberry goodness.

Why call him the 'Dude'?  Because quite simply he ties the room together, I am sure the film reference need not be explained, or does it?

We have shared many exploits thus far, the Dude and I.  Had I been a good and consistent blogger I might have posted each culinary exploit just after the event but I am not, ergo I give you a montage of the best bits.
